At the beginning of Jesus’ famous “Sermon on the Mount,” recorded in Matthew 5-7, Jesus outlines eight clear guidelines for how we can receive all that God has for us through a few simple statements. Otherwise known as the Beatitudes, these eight directives identify counter-cultural actions we are called to live out in order to experience the blessed life.
